What is Lucky Target Comics?
A UK based independent retailer selling comics and related items. LTC was founded by Sumyra Ihsan, who registered it as a business in 2010.
What kind of comics do you sell?
We sell all kinds of American and American format comics from the 1940s upwards. We also sell some UK and International comics, graphic novels, figures and other items.
do you have additional comics that are not on the webstore yet?
Yes. If you have a large wants list on mainstream titles then it may be worthwhile asking about this. You can leave a comment on any of our social media posts asking us to prioritise and alert you when certain titles are listed. Or, you can Contact us to create a Custom Bundle (strict conditions apply).
Can I buy new comics from you?
You will find some relatively new comics on our site. However, we are not currently taking pre-orders on new releases. This may change at some point in the future. We can recommend a pre-order retailer to you if you want.
How do I find what I want on your site?
The best way to view items is to use the menus to go to the relevent section and use the the alpha bars to find the page you want. You can also use the Search bar and put in a keyword such as ‘Batman’ or ‘Adam Hughes’. Most of our customers say they enjoy browsing but if you are struggling to find something feel free to Contact us and we’ll help you out.
How do I use the alpha-bars to find comics?
Our webstore is big. We can only list 200 items on each page. We can’t fit long menu names onto mobile view so we have created acronyms for some Marvel and DC titles. Here is a list of the ones that might confuse some:

where do I find info about my order?
When you complete checkout you will automatically receive an order confirmation within a few minutes. When we process your order you will then receive a despatch confirmation (with tracking details if appropriate). The same applies for cancellations and refunds. If you cannot see anything in your email inbox it is almost certainly in your spam box and can be retrieved from there. If you cannot find anything please Contact us.
Do you make the comics?
No. We don’t create or publish comics; we just buy and sell them.
Do you have shop?
No. We are an online retailer. If you live close to our location you might be able to choose free contactless pickup (see info at checkout) but we are not a bricks and mortar shop and there is no in person shopping option. We do not recommend that you select the FREE pick up option unless you live in or very close to Glenrothes, Fife.
Do You Accept Best Offers/Can I ask for a ‘Best Price’?
No and you really don’t need to. Auto-Discount applies as follows: 10% off orders over £70, 15% over £150, 20% over £250, 25% over £500, 30% over £1000, 35% over £2000. Also see top bar for free shipping levels. Please don’t message us asking for extra special treatment. We have an automated system that is fair and equitable to everyone.
Can I use Paypal?
Yes. You can use Paypal or pay by Card. Debit and Credit Card payments are safely processed by Stripe.
How do I know what condition things are in?
Everything we sell has an item description which includes condition information. We are experienced comic sellers and we take grading seriously. Comics are graded on a scale:
GD 2.0 VG 4.0 FN 6.0 VFN 8.0 VFN/NM 9.0 NM- 9.2 NM 9.6
We rarely use the term Mint or M 10.0 as this is an unlikely grade for paper publications to achieve. NM is the equivalent to New. Golden, Silver and sometimes Bronze Age comics are checked carefully from cover to cover for wear and possible restoration and, whatever we find is readily disclosed.
Are the comics bagged and boarded?
All comics are bagged though some bundles may be group bagged to reduce shipping weight. Generally speaking boards are added for any item that we sell for more than current average cover price. We often use a double-bagging system so that comics are enclosed in a larger sleeve inside the box or mailer but the individual comics are unsealed. This is because some customers find it difficult to take comics in and out of taped bags without damaging them and because everyone has their own method of sealing bags. We focus on making sure that comics get to customers safely. Check the Add Ons page to add a mini Bag and Board bundle to your order.
Do you sell graded/slabbed comics?
We prefer the term ‘slabbed’ as ‘grading’ itself is not something that needs to be done by a specialist company. There are a number os slabbed comics mixed in with raw singles. Browse the Singles pages or try “CGC” or “CBCS” as a search term. We have submitted to both companies in the past and may use CGC again in the future. However, we are not currently planning any submissions.
What packaging do you use?
We use fold-over cardboard mailers for comics, graphic novels, magazines and folded posters. Anything bigger will be sent in a box with plenty of void filler. We have many years of experience sending parcels all over the world and we take care to package safely. We use recycled, recyclable or biodegradable packaging wherever possible and we find ways to reuse a lot of the plastics, paper and cardboard that arrives in-house.
I am new to comics. Can you help?
We love to help people discover new comics or buy presents for friends and family. Are you looking for a gift but are not sure what? We do offer Gift Vouchers that have no expiry date. There are also lots of really great options in the Bundles section of the store. If you need advice Contact us, letting us know a little about yourself, and we will recommend some comics you might like to try.
how many free add ons can I have?
We have not set any harsh rules about this as we know most customers will be sensible. A good rule of thumb would be no more than one free add-on per £10 of actual order unless there are other set conditions in the item description. Remember that if your order is quite low value then add-ons might increase how much shipping you’ll pay. Overall, a £££+ order will be fine for picking a bigger stack of freebies and you can request multiple FREE Mystery Grab Comics from the Add Ons. (There are also a selection of other freebies picks on that page. If you hit tiered discounts or have a discount code you can still pick Free Add Ons. We won’t mind.
Do I need to set up an account?
No. You don’t need to set up an account or create a password. You just fill in your details at checkout. You can set your computer or device to auto-fill your details the next time you shop with us.
can i pay in installments?
Not through LTC. Paypal offers a credit/installments option to their customers who pass their credit checks. This is probably your best option if you want to buy a higher priced item/s and need an installments option. That would be a contract between you and the payment provider and does not directly involve LTC
How much is shipping?
UK and International shipping is calculated at checkout according to the weight of your selections. You can make amendments to your shopping cart before payment. If you proceed to payment you will be offered shipping options first. Nothing is final until you review your choices and complete payment. See the Shipping page for approximate UK prices and don’t forget that if your order is large enough free shipping will apply.
International customers please read the information on the Shipping page carefully before ordering as it is very important and contains details about customs and taxes etc.
how long will delivery take?
We despatch as quickly as possible and most UK deliveries arrive within a few days. If you are a UK customer and you need fast delivery please ensure that you select Express shipping. For both UK and International orders, the larger the overall transaction, the more easily we can justify paying for an express courier.
why was my order cancelled?
We do reserve the right to occasionally cancel and refund whole or partial orders. This may be because the item is out of stock, had an error in the listing or was incorrectly priced. The address may be undeliverable. If a customer orders multiple copies of an item and we deem this detrimental to our business, we may reduce the order to a single copy. It is extremely rare for LTC to do this and we will contact the customer by email if appropriate.
Do you buy comics?
Yes we will buy comics and related items but, we buy selectively and only if it makes sense for our business. We offer a number of different services for people who might be thinking about selling. See the Valuation/Selling page. If you want to sell, fill in the selling query form. If you send an email we still needs totals and to know how much you are wanting to sell for. We don’t assess the value of a collection and then make offers unless you have already hired us for valuation or consultation. Please note that we do not currently buy Beano, 2000AD, Panini reprint comics or cheap UK repro GNs.
do you sell manga?
We may sometimes have Manga or Manga-style items in our webstore but, generally we do not sell Manga.
